논현동에 위치한 건물을 토탈석재의 쇼룸 및 오피스 공간으로 재탄생시키는 프로젝트입니다. 철 함량과 압력, 열에 의해 다양한 색과 결이 만들어지는 원재료인 대리석을 어떻게 표현할지 고민했습니다. 또한, 작은 대지 면적 안에서 효율적인 디스플레이 방식을 찾고, 지하 1층부터 지상 7층까지 각 층에 적합한 테마를 설정하여 토탈석재의 브랜드 이미지를 더욱 강조할 수 있는 방안을 고민하였습니다. 지하 2층에서 외부로 올라가는 대피로의 딱딱한 느낌을 없애기 위해, 물 위로 빛이 떨어지는 수영장을 상상하며 푸른빛의 대리석으로 공간을 감싸 특별한 쇼룸 공간으로 탈바꿈시켰습니다. 또한, 쇼룸에서 전시되는 각 돌의 특성에 리듬감을 부여하여 관람객이 시각적으로 접근하고 감정적으로 반응할 수 있는 경험을 제공하고자 했습니다.

This project transforms a building located in Nonhyun-dong into a showroom and office space for Total Stone. We carefully considered how to express marble, a raw material that forms various colors and textures through iron content, pressure, and heat. Additionally, we sought efficient display methods for the small land area and developed distinct themes for each floor, from basement level 1 to the 7th floor, to further enhance Total Stone's brand image. To soften the rigid feel of the emergency exit route leading from the basement 2 level to the outside, we imagined a swimming pool with light falling on the water and wrapped the space in blue marble, transforming it into a unique showroom experience. Moreover, we aimed to provide visitors with an experience where they can visually engage with and emotionally respond to the characteristics of each stone on display, giving the materials a sense of rhythm.
